Les Menuires Ski Breaks - Overview
Situated halfway between Val Thorens and St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires is a large resort divided into five districts - La Croisette, Preyerand, Les Fontanettes, Grand Reberty and Les Bruyères. – with accommodation and facilities at each level. Connecting into the Three Valleys network couldn’t be easier as part of your Les Menuires short ski break, with most of the accommodation boasting slope side access.
At the heart of the village is La Croisette at 1850m and is home to many of the original 60s and 70s built apartment blocks that give Les Menuires its distinctive modernist look. This is where you will find most of the shops, bars, and restaurants. As the resort has expanded in recent years newer developments have improved its appearance with a more attractive Savoyard style. Much of the accommodation is ski in/ski out, making a holiday to Les Menuires ideal for families, groups, and beginners wanting to make the most of every minute on the slopes.
With a fast and efficient lift system, queuing tends not to be a problem in Les Menuires and there are free buses that connect all the parts of the resort. These run every 20 minutes until 8 pm, after which they run less frequently up until midnight. The resort is relatively quiet in the evenings, especially when compared to its noisier neighbour Val Thorens, but there are some excellent local bars and restaurants to try.
Connections from Les Menuires into the Three Valleys network are fast and efficient making it easy to get over to Meribel in the next valley and beyond to Courchevel.
