Ski Holidays To The Alps - Eurostar Ski Train
Is there anything more exciting than travelling all the way down to the Alps from London on the train? Starting on the Eurostar, crossing through the Channel Tunnel and changing in Lille, watch as the scenery transforms into a magical winter wonderland as you arrive in the Savoie region of France.
Making a return for the first time last year, the Eurostar snow train service is back for Winter 2024/25. Commencing from London St. Pancras on Saturday 21st December and changing at Lille, the service will run for ten weekends until Sunday 2nd March 2025.
With a quickest journey time of 7 hours & 30 mins, you'll find it doesn't take that much longer than flying (with transfers and airport wait time). Departing from London in the morning you'll arrive in the Alps in the late afternoon - ready for skiing the next day. What's more you're also entitled to two pieces of luggage plus ski equipment.
The ski train outbound services from London will run every Saturday. Inbound services from the Alps will run every Sunday. This means you'll need to stay in the Alps for 8 nights, flexiski is here to help you plan the perfect, flexible ski trip. In this case offering 8 night hotel stays to line up with the ski train.
Not only is the ski train a relaxing journey, you'll also save up to 95% in carbon emissions compared to flying to the Alps. Accessing multiple resorts in the Tarentaise valley, the train stops at either Moutiers (3 Valleys), Aime la Plagne (La Plagne) and Bourg St. Maurice (Les Arcs, Tignes, Val d'Isere).
We can offer competitively priced transfers to all of these resorts, you just need to book the train. We can also help organise 7 day lift passes and ski & snowboard hire.
EUROSTAR SKI HOLIDAY OPTIONS
Although the 8 night stay option in the Alps may pose a problem for other ski holiday providers, at flexiski we're able to accommodate the exact length of stay that suits you (including 8 nights in the resort). This saves you from having to leave the resort early and stay in a hotel in either Moutiers or Bourg St. Maurice to catch your train the next day. We're all about trying to give you the most time on the slopes.
The first Eurostar train departing Bourg St. Maurice leaves at 08:26 each Sunday morning, and with resort transfers averaging between 30 mins and 1 hour, it's not a hugely early start in order to be at the station on time.
We have hotel options available in Val Thorens, Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes and Val d'Isere. All of which are just a short transfer away from the ski train stations.
